Sydney (AFP) – At least six firefighters were killed when a fire broke out in Sydney’s financial district Tuesday morning, the state’s rescue agency said.
Six firefighters suffered serious injuries in the incident. NSW Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Paul Roussel said nine were airl대전 마사지ifted to Sydney Airport for treatment.
The agency’s spokesman Phil DeFranco said at least two of those injured had died.
DeFranco said a firefighter who was in critical condition was in intensive care at Sydney Hospital. Two others — who were critically injured — had been moved to a different hospital.
A third firefighter, who was not airlifted because of a lung injury, was being treated at the Kings Cross hospital in Sydney’s inner west.

The fire occurred at 10.20am at the financial services firm of Nalbitt, Riddell & Prentis in Bondi Beach, DeFranco said. The fire is in a building with several offices, including a law firm.
He did not have more specific information on when the fire broke out or who was responsible for the blaze.
Nalbitt, Riddell & Prentis issued a statement on its Facebook page saying: “Following an incident within a business building, we have been given all the necessary advice as a result of which Nalbitt will conduct an immediate and appropriate review process for our entire Melbourne office, and any premises in that building that might be affected.”
A number of businesses in the area were evacuated early Tuesday because of the blaze, which caused extensive damage to buildings and one shopping mall.
A second store at a nearby commercial complex had been shut down because of smoke inhalation but was reopened shortly before 8:45am, NSW Fire and Rescue Services said.
